Two-Alarm Blaze Destroys Loyalsock Home

Crews responded to a Two-Alarm Blaze destroying a home in the township. Station 18 was dispatched around 1PM to Willow Brook Road for house fire, which is off Freedom Road, north of the City of Williamsport. Neighbor reported smoke coming out from under the roof eaves. Fire companies from City of Williamsport, Hepburn Township, Montoursville, and Old Lycoming were dispatched on the initial alarm. Chief 2-1 was on scene and made the order for second alarm, bringing in additional resources from Montoursville, Eldred Township, Woodward Township, and Duboistown. Freedom Road was closed for some time while a stretch of host was laid from a nearby hydrant.
