Engine 18 Box 1-4 Assignment

Tuesday, March 06, 2012 - At approx. 2100 hours Station 18 was dispatched to the City of Williamsport for a working structure fire in a maintenance building at Lycoming College. Engine 18 responded and was requested to lay a 5in supply line to Tower one from the east. After establishing the secondary water supply, Engine 18 assisted with operations. Crews worked for a little over 2 hours before returning to service.

Box 1-4 2nd Alarm Fire with Entrapment

Thursday, February 09, 2012 - Early Thursday morning, around 0830, Engine 18 was dispatched for a 2nd alarm assignment in the city of Williamsport. Station 1 was dispatched for a general fire alarm and arrived on-scene to find a working kitchen fire with entrapment, and immediately requested a 2nd alarm. Engine 18 arrived and was instructed to lay in from Locust street and supply Tower 1. Engine crew assisted with interior attack operations and overhaul before returning to service around 1300 hours.

Units responding to the scene were Engine 1, Engine 4-1, Engine 14-1, Tower 1, Engine 18, Ladder 20, Rescue 11, and Squad 14.

Thanksgiving Day Job in Williamsport

Thursday, November 24, 2011 - Around lunch time on Thanksgiving Day, Engine 18 was dispatched 2nd Alarm to box 1-4 in the city of Williamsport for a working structure fire on Washington Blvd (Two Boys From Italy). Engine 18 responded with 5 and was instructed to stage at the hydrant east of the scene and send manpower forward. City crews made quick work of the fire with a good stop and Engine 18 along with crews from other surrounding municipalities assisted with checking for extension and overhaul. Engine 18 returned to service around 1330 hours.

Units responding were Engine 2-1, Tower 1, Engine 14-1, Car 1, Squad 14, Ladder 20, and Engine 18.
